Google and its name has become a part of the language.    Its current search engine automatically gives websites that Google determines is the best for terms used in your particular search.  As with all search engines, be as precise as possible.  However, you may find that too many words lead you nowhere.

Bing Search is the latest search from Microsoft and is given Google some well-needed competition. The searches are thorough.  However, as with Google they tend to emphasize commercial sites.

Yahoo is the oldest search engines and until recently it has had some business difficulties because of Google's dominance.  However, the company has turned its search around.  It uses regular search plus has added the ability to answer questions. Yahoo offers many other services as well.  It's most well known service is the Yahoo Groups.

Sisters of the Mission of St. Clare provide an on-line version of The Daily Office in English and Spanish.  It is contained within the Morning prayer and Evening Prayer.

The two links included here, Bible Basics and Betterdaysarecoming.com  are not complete but they are the most extensive pronunciations guide found on the web.  Bible Basics actually speaks the words to you, so have your PC audio turned on.  Betterdaysarecoming.com gives you a pronouncing guide with a few audio words that can also be found in the American Heritage Dictionary.

Updated periodically, The Archbishop Justus Society sponsors an unofficial website The Anglican Domain.  It contains a huge amount of material for all Christians and the society's outreach is ecumenical.  However, most of material is geared toward Anglicans and its material is routinely updated but is strictly the voice of the society and they take responsibility for all material posted. Archbishop Justus Society if based in the state of New York.

The San Francisco Night Ministry, and the San Francisco Jail Ministry is volunteer organization comprised of members from many San Francisco Episcopal churches and other religious denominations, as well as individuals whose identification is with spiritually based social service. The Night Ministry serves the disadvantaged often homeless street people. The Night Ministry operate a crisis line every night from 10pm to 2am at 415-441-0123.  The San Francisco Jail ministry serves inmates in the San Francisco County Jail system and their families.  Along with the Haight Asbury Community Services, these are active ministries at All Saints' Church.

Do you want to learn more about all the saints?  Our Catholic brothers and sisters have spent many years of volunteer-hours updating and putting the massive Catholic Encyclopedia (14,000 Volumes) on-line. First published at the turn of the last century, the Catholic Encyclopedia is no longer published in printed form.  In addition, clicking on the NEW ADVENT logo will give a source that  includes extensive other historical Christian information.  There is alphabetic menu at the top that leads to you the most detailed information on almost every aspects of Christianity including the lives of all the saints, liturgies, meanings for names and the prominent figures in the history of the western Church.  You can order a CD Rom from them of the complete publications.  There is also other Catholic Church new and commentary.

 

 

 

 

 

Project Canterbury offers a rich historic archive of out of print Anglican writings to enhance your spiritual journey. Like New Advent above it was a completely volunteer effort and is not a part of the Anglican Communion. Many are complete texts others will lead you to published books.
